About me.
The purpose of my site is to network, and find cool opportunities worldwide and create a paddle profile for me along my journey.
I am a graduate from laurentian university in Sudbury, Ontario, where I took a program called outdoor adventure leadership, graduated with honors & a Bachelor of Physical Education and Health, specializing in Outdoor Faciliation, Adventure Therapy and Outdoor Leadership.
I have been working in the outdoor industry full time since 2015. My main focus has been on instructional expeditions and guiding, specific to sea kayaking and paddle boarding. In the past year I have attained my Level three Paddle Canada Instructors, one of two women in Canada that has attained this certifcation, the only female that currently holds it and the youngest. I am currently going through the mentorship process to attain my L4 instructors certification (the final level of instruction). I have become a L1 instructor trainer and an Advanced Flatwater SUP Instructor trainer last May. I currently spend my Canadian summers working on & around Vancouver Island, and winters I spent in New Zealand guiding in the Abel Tasman National Park.
I am always looking to expand my guiding repatoire as well as upskill my instruction certifications. My goal is to complete the Paddle Canada training and become one of the highest level coaches in Canada, specifically working with women paddlers. My personal paddling passion lies in rolling, exploring new areas, as well as rough water paddling (tidal currents, crazy winds, surf, you name it). As you explore this site you will get to see a bit more into my life and what I do.
Now that you know a little about me, please explore the site, ask questions about anything; gear, instruction, paddling in different places, whatever sparks your interest. Enjoy!
This year I was asked to join the Stohlquist Proteam as their female athlete, I stand behind this company and feel very supported by them as a paddler. I have also joined the Lendal Team and recently been brought on board the Nigel Denis Kayak (NDK) team.
